- Circumerro Shooting on the Snake River.
Most recently our work with Field & Stream clothing has had us out on the Snake River exploring how we can take the offline shopping experience online, by providing more immersed visualization of the clothing.
Circumerro’s depth of experience in both still photography and video, combined with the skills of our interactive artists, enables us to push the boundaries of how to show products online. We have our heads down hard at work evolving how to create a better brand engagement for our clients with their customers.
The Huffington Post put out an article on the “Top 8 Bike Trips in the U.S.” a few weeks back. The tech-savy, online publisher has been known for making a splash as a liberal news website. In addition to the frequent stories, posts and features on subjects covering trending politics, media, business, entertainment and more, Huff Post, also known as “The Internet Newspaper,” has naturally been an early adopter of all things social media.
In light of their steady growth, staff editors and contributors produce a lion’s share of the original content on the site now, but they still rely on a host of bloggers and excerpts in a news aggregator model.
Building engaging brand experiences is our mantra at Circumerro, and we are working with our client Field & Stream clothing to do just that. Circumerro Video is filming a series of videos for the new clothing brand, focused around “field tips,” to make an authentic connection with their client base.
Our own Noah Waterhouse can been seen in one video featuring how to tie down a canoe—or rather how not to! Stay tuned for the August launch of the new website and the first glimpses of a line of new clothing we can’t wait to get our own hands on.

PAWS of Jackson Hole worked with Circumerro Video to create a short form web video to promote their mission. They premiered it at their 10th Anniversary Fur Ball last Friday night to much success. PAWS advocates for animals and promotes responsible pet ownership through local outreach programs in Jackson Hole. The web video runs on their web site and has been syndicated by Circumerro Video through the other web video sharing sites. This helps them spread their message and gain exposure.
The business of selling photographs has survived some shifting landscapes over the years. The digital revolution shook the tripods of many photographers in the last decade, but more recently the competitive distribution wars being waged online have sparked controversy. Companies like istockphoto and shutterstock stormed onto the scene peddling photos for mere fractions of traditional licensing fees, hence giving birth to the age of “microstock agencies.”
While microstock agencies can fill an occasional image need, their talent tryouts are relatively brief—in fact all it takes to post photos for sale on many of these sites is a digital camera and an opposable thumb. While we’re never one to toss water on a meaningful fire, there are a few finer points of “traditional” stock agencies that we feel translate into direct benefits for folks on the receiving end of the transaction.
Circumerro Stock was set up to help talented valley-wide photographers have a broader reach. They key word is talented. The photographers represented on Circumerro Stock are handpicked and at the top of their craft. They represent a range of skills and subjects, specializing in destination imagery on Jackson Hole, the greater Yellowstone region, coastal beach towns in South Carolina and more.
Circumerro Media has launched its new website with a focus on telling its story through the use of Web video and blogging. Integrating Web video throughout the site to explain services, introduce employees and highlight past projects provides the virtual insight that photos and text alone cannot deliver. Circumerro is now using its blog to capture the day-to-day events and news at the company.
“Web video is one of the most effective tools for telling your company’s story,” explained Latham Jenkins, Circumerro President. “People don’t like to read online, but rather mimic the offline behavior of TV-watching and if you provide that online, you marry the best of TV and the Web.”
The blog element of the new site addresses another quickly changing landscape in the realm of creative services: news. The site utilizes a blog format to house company news, press releases, staff info, industry musings and project updates all in one central spot. “Let’s face it, companies send out news to generate press which is an old way of building buzz around your brand,” added Jenkins. “The reality is for true engagement, you need a more constant dialogue with your audience and one that invites them to be a part of the brand experience.”
Frequent visitors are able to subscribe to RSS feeds of the blog and are encouraged to join the dialogue via comments. “Blogs provide the perfect storm of relevant content and untraditional marketing,” explained Chris Hanson, Content Manager at Circumerro. “In the age of social media, there are buzz words flying back and forth and constant changes that are enough to overwhelm any client. The goal is to interact, and blogging is where it starts.”
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort recently unveiled a shiny new aerial tram. To kick off the weekend-long launch party, the festivities opened with a night of fireworks and the first public glimpse of the new big red box. Circumerro created a slide show for the evening of vintage photos set to rocking music. As the crowds cheered the new Tram, fireworks lit up the sky and the slide show looped on the JumboTron, spanning photos from the original tram up to the present.

Circumerro Video is pleased to announce the recent production of a short-form video staring world-renowned golf course designer and architect Tom Fazio. This video is the first of many recording the progress of the Shooting Star golf course and planned community, one of Jackson Hole’s highest-end real estate developments.
Tom Fazio’s career designing golf courses spans over thirty-five years and he has one of the industry’s most impressive resumes. No living designer has more credits on Golf Digest’s list of America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses and Golfweek’s collection of America’s best. In addition, more than a dozen of Tom Fazio’s designs have been chosen either first or second in Golf Digest’s annual “Best New Golf Courses” rankings.
The Shooting Star golf course is one of his most recent designs. “Golf courses should reflect the natural beauty of the setting,” said Fazio. “At Shooting Star, we will create drama for the golfer while ensuring that the course fits its natural setting.” Fazio utilized two hundred and fifty acres for the Shooting Star golf course, including Fish Creek, three mountain ranges, and the opportunity to create fifty acres of lakes.
“It’s great that a high-end developer has requested the cutting-edge offerings of Circumerro Video,” said Circumerro Video Producer Alden Wood. “The project is definitely exciting for us.” Circumerro President Latham Jenkins also expressed excitement about the ongoing project. “It’s a fantastic collaboration,” said Jenkins. “Through Circumerro Video, Shooting Star is able to share their unique vision with potential consumers at all stages of development via the impressive power of video.”

We are launching for our client, the Town of Tarboro, NC, a new web site this month featuring four new videos. Overview of Tarboro, Living in Tarboro, History of Tarboro and Doing Business in Tarboro. The videos are meant to take the more traditional static approach to Web publishing into one that is authentic, with Tarboro locals telling their story about their town.
High Mountain Heli-Skiing founder Jon Shick and Circumerro Video combined forces to produce a short web video for the High Mountain Heli-Skiing site. The video represents the need for recreation companies to “show” rather than “tell” on their websites. The video is full of energy and great skiing shots, and it’s aim is to engage the viewer and create demand.
