Circ was proud to be a sponsor of the 2016 Dancing with the Jackson Hole Stars, a fund raiser for the Children’s Learning Center. It’s was another banner year and we are proud to have done our part to contribute to this vital community childcare center.
Along the way we helped one of the dancing couples with producing this little video promo. It’s hard beat the value of a short-form video asset to help fundraise and sell the humor in having to dance in public.

The fundraiser was a great success with over $256,000 dollars raised in a single event. Way to go Jackson Hole for digging deep and supporting these dancing couples, great event and community institution.
It was day break near Eden, Wyoming and the Falcon was sitting on his kill. Steve Chindgren walks over to the rest of us protecting his bird from a rouge Bald Eagle looking for an easy breakfast. I only had my new iPhone 7 Plus and took a few images at ground level which rendered the following one.
I felt it really captured moment. The trainer with his subject who just had a successful hunt for a sage grouse as dawn is breaking. The new iPhone 7 Plus as with its successors have always amazed me. That device in your pocket is a great storyteller!

Circ has been leveraging the value of web video in making short-form videos for our partners. The approach is “light-weight” shooting on the fly with a focus on telling an authentic story that is not over produced. We see on our web sites that our users are trying to validate the brand experiences being sold to them by our partners. They seek it through reading the available press on the business and what the broader travel community is saying on TripAdvisor.
Our videos are meant to target this behavior, giving the view an overview of what they should expect and hopefully move them to connect with the partner to engage in the experience.
Once the videos are launched they are a great content asset to syndicate through our various marketing channels and that of the partners. You can see below how in Facebook alone we achieved thousands (6K+) of views and great engagement over just a few days. The comments enable us to validate these viewers are brand evangelist and prospects, we are not just entertaining the masses.
Circ spent a week in June with our partner, Triangle X. As the only operating dude ranch in a national park, you can see what a dramatic backdrop they have with our beloved Teton range.
In the absence of brand brief or any documentation other than 90 years of success, we spent the week quizzing and talking with the guests help to clarify the brand’s value proposition which guided our account work and shot list. That enabled us to shoot the image above which sells both that it is a real western riding ranch and that it has a location to die for. Come on, who would not want to be in scene above?
Circ has developed additional brand marketing collateral for the partner through the years with their web site and print brochure. We even landed them on Travel & Leisure’s Instagram feed which lead to immediate bookings and web site traffic that almost took down their server.
“The team at Jackson Hole Traveler goes the extra yard as a partner in helping to extend the value of our advertising dollars. It’s hard to put a price on success like this with Travel + Leisure.”– Lucas Turner, Triangle X Ranch
Our client, Bentwood Inn, was featured this morning on the Today Show. Circumerro Video has worked with the Bentwood Inn for the last three years with their web video needs and we were excited when they got a call from the producer saying they were being featured in today’s show on “affordable girlfriend getaways.” Circumerro provided the supporting video used in the show from our past location shoots at the Bentwood.
Our client, Kanban Logistics, was featured during their industry conference, International Warehouse Logistics Association, for both the quality of their Web site and the web video Circumerro shot for them.
Harold Hobgood, Business Development Manager of Kanban says, “Randy Stephenson (Senior Software Analyst) with Camelot Software out of Charlotte, NC took time to tell everyone at the meeting that he wanted to compliment Kanban on our website and most importantly our video. Randy stated that everyone needed to take the time to look at our video. After the meeting when we were on the way home we received an email from the President of the IWLA stating how impressed he was over the video.”
Harold went on to say, “Latham I have always said that the video was the best thing we have ever done to help advertise our company and after attending this meeting it just re-affirms what I have said. I feel we are currently ahead of most of our competition in this area and it really has been a proud moment. Thanks for all your help and your staff’s help with everything.”
Kanban displays the video on their website, but what is really interesting is the fact they have over 24,000 views on YouTube. YouTube insights reports the views are 81% male and between the ages of 35-54, which is their sweet spot for who they want to be targeting. These views are in addition to those prospective clients who watched it on Kanban’s website.
Web video continues to provide value in many ways in helping businesses tell their story in an authentic way. It raises your visibility in search engines and is an easy way for a prospective client to be sold on your product or services.
Hi Alden,
I just wanted to let you know that the videos you created for us have been a more successful addition to our web marketing than we could have imagined. In addition, I thought I would share a couple of stories with you.
Last year at one of our cookouts we were talking with a guest who has been returning consistently for the last few years. He was so excited to be at the ranch again and he told us that in the two weeks prior to his arrival, he visited our web site daily to play the videos so he could see and hear the ranch.
The following month we had a single mom from New York bring her teenage son to the 4UR for a special vacation. She shared with us that this type of travel was a bit frightening and not a normal occurrence for her. However, after viewing our videos she wasn’t afraid to come all this way as she felt she already knew the people she would be visiting.
We could never have predicted this type of positive interaction and it’s impact on our guest’s experience. Many thanks again to you and Circumerro, and good luck to you in “rounding up” more guest ranches for your business.

Recently we were shooting and helping to cross-market our two clients Field & Stream Brand Clothing and EpicQuest in Alaska. The end of March and first of April you tend to find the who’s who in skiing congregating on Alaska’s coastal maritime snowpack. Athletes, filmmakers, photographers, guides and helicopters all come together to produce much of what we media junkies consume.
Chris Owens, vice president of operations for EpicQuest, hosted us for a small dinner with Chris Davenport and Stian Hagen who where in Girdwood shooting with Warren Miller for next season’s film. You might have caught the April article in Outside Mag on skiing first descents in Antarctica. Pretty cool meeting these guys and sharing some PBR together.
I would say if you love skiing a trip to Alaska and with EpicQuest/Chugatch Powder Guides should be on your bucket list and you never know who you just might meet in the bar.
When you live in Jackson Hole the first thought is fishing, but Circumerro is continually looking for ways to innovate on how apparel is sold online. Our goal is to recreate the bricks and mortar experience online, allowing the attributes of each garment to be known by the potential consumer.
In traditional shopping venues you can pick the garment, feel the material, observe the tailoring and quickly size up do you like it. If the store has a talented sales person on the floor they can further the experience and appreciation for the garment with their suggestive selling.
So how do you bring this online with a blend of value oriented, humorous and benefit focused narrative? Well that is what we are casting for today and will show with the launch of the spring/summer line of Field and Stream brand clothing.

Circumerro Video completed a short video of Old Bill’s Fun Run for the Community Foundation. The video showcases the day, the events and the co-challengers and sponsors. It was shown at the awards ceremony and will be on their website.
We received this letter from the Community Foundation:

We are so excited to show our newest Old Bill’s marketing piece to the public! The video turned out so well, and Katharine and I enjoyed working with all of you.
